About Pip Puzzle

Selected for EVO 2025+2026's Indie Game Devs Area, Pip Puzzle is a competitive puzzle fighter where matching gems with Smash Gems destroys them and floods your opponent's board with junk. Choose a character with a unique skill—from turning the screen black and white to dropping steel balls that crush valuable gems—and battle through stages that evolve as the match unfolds. Fight through Arcade, Story, or Zen modes, or compete with friends online or locally.

Action Skills

Each character has a different action skill, ranging from Ooma being able to punch through gems/junk, to Samson being able to snipe convenient gems on the opponent's side out of existence. If you feel like being that person, Lune can turn the opponent's screen black and white for two drops with her monochromia skill.

Tons of variety for every play style. Every character plays differently having their own special move and gem drop patterns, fitting each play-style. Find the best character for you below!

20+ stages

Unique, original stages which visually and audibly evolve as you play. The soundtrack, composed by SteelPlus (One Step From Eden, Rabbit & Steel) starts with a Sega Genesis style then ditches it when a player is losing for jazz, drum and bass, rock, etc. depending on the stage.

A lot of animation

Every character has hundreds to thousands of frames of animation to make the game not only a joy to play, but also to look at. Have fun watching your friend smoothly get crushed by the moon because you did a bit of trolling with the monochromia skill!

Online Multiplayer

Gaming is better with friends. Destroy those friendships online (or off!) and show how much of a puzzle master you are!

Moddable

Feeling creative? Why not create your own character or stage? Experiment with new action skills with the purpose-built scripting language, or import your original character (do not steal).
